Description
Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this lovely French Louis Philippe Armoire is in very good condition and comes completely flat and can be re assembled in about 20 minutes.standing on ogee scroll feet with a shaped and molded bottom frieze rail, the armoire has 3 shelves to the inside. One having a full width drawer below it and one having 3 small drawers below it.
This is enclosed with a pair of carved and molded panel doors. The left hand door is held shut with a simple sprung catch with the right hand door closing on to it and is held shut with it's original working lock and key.
The heavy ogee cornice is typical of this fine Louis Philppe period.
The armoire measures; 55 inches wide / 60.75 inches to outside of cornice. 19.5 inches deep / 22.5 inches to outside of cornice. 91.25 inches high.
