Description
This beautiful French bed dates to the early part of the 20th century and is in very good all round condition. Upholstered in a high quality tapestry style fabric, the bed has a shabby chic painted beech frame which stands on traditional doe feet. The fabric is all good with no significant marks or wear, but as shown in the photo's, to the head board there has been a small amount of staining where the coulor of the under fabric has grinned through.. The decorative mold runs around both the head and foot board and continues along the side rails.The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing. As with all French beds, it comes with no base, but a wooden slatted base can be made for an extra £55.00.
This bed will take a modern standard 4 foot 6 inch double mattress and measures;
58.5 inches wide
84 inches long
47 inch high head board
27.5 inch high foot board
